Elk Leg Bag

This elk leg bag was constructed from four semi-tanned legs with dew claws intact.  The buckskin top, added above the legs, has a pinked top and decorative tin cones with red horse hair inside.  The beaded lanes use small size 12 old colors of red, yellow, and two shades of blue.  This bag was used to carry eating utensils when visiting friends.  Inside was a buffalo horn cup and a wooden bowl with carved head of Iya, spirit of gluttony.
